Project - BluSam Aug '11

last Saturday on 7th August 2011...taking Project BluSam MiniWorks for check-up as i'm delivering the car on Sunday...after all service done...found out the air-cond compressor been jam...not because of gas...got to find other compressor then....while driving back to Shah Alam from Segambut...realise that the car overheat...luckily Shell petrolstation nearby for my stop and check...bad news as i opened the hood/bonnet....the fan belt snap while testing the jam compressor...Mr Sam to the rescue...am stranded from 1.30 to 5 o'clock...due to Fan Belt And distributor problem

sunday morning....i'm changing the rim to 12inch Rover alloys

the ol' 13inch rim setup got clearance issues...

 last minute make-up...add up black stripe on hood...just to cover the dead paint

3.30pm...sent it to owner

with few extra spaces @ HanGaraj...time to concentrate rebuild the mini for 3 state run after raya

playing around with project car....changing the front signal & side repeater..other than that

little bit trial with my OZ wheels...found this Super-Thick wheel spacer..it spell dangerous

came across few incident with mini where the wheel pop-off while doing 90-100kmh

spend my best 2nights wOrking on Blu.Sam...as always...i only do it halfway

cOntinue to remove the Ugly.Crack.Lining and this emblem on Blu.Sam

 

  it took great effort to remove this lining...it take me 3hours to remove it

since kid i've been using this polish...works perfect to remove sticker

 my hands gets itchy....no escape for my daily mOped...remove all sticker as well

while i'm busy with my project...thanks to Mr. Rafys for this Ferrari 458 Italia

Blu.Sam - Peeling Stickers

crack stickers really hurts my eye...so i start peeling old stickers on BluSam

 

remove this cheap fake cOOper badge

 

 

 

 

remove ugly rubber door guards

 

including this ugly lining on the border

a lot of screen stickies on windscreen....remove all

 

 paste the roadtax on plastic laminate..easier to remove on next renewal

 

  

now i have one clean blue mini

 this ugly lining on border need to be remove...

 

 all side indicator either crack or yellowish...still in proposal to be delete or replace with new one

 

will be replace with clear ROVER lenses with chrome trim

 

both door skin have rust on surface

to be delete

side mirror will be colour coded with body colour with black base

both wiper need to be replace...thinkin of chrome arm & silicon blade....including chrOme nipple and wiper blank

 

  will be use this screen temporarily....need replacement including screen rubber seal

rust on front bumper bracket due to old minor hit

this is the most critical parts....this mini is using kancil rim...these thick spacer spell dangerous

 

without proper size & offset...tyres is fouling the body panel...look at the tyre sidewall

   front floor board on driver side need some work urgently before it get wOrse & turn to Flinstone wannabe

  the battery tray looking good

last work to be done....muffler replacement to Stainless Steel material

need to add Tacho/RPM meter to this beast

this tweeter need to be relOcation

need to find 1 pair of seatbelt

need speaker board in order

wOrn out driver seat

small clean up work n find all minor accessories for the interior trim

this is lOng term project...will be updated & replace the wOrn out parts as the budget allowed
